Basic Pycnometer Low and High Pressure

The BasicPyc HP™ is a fully automated and complete gas (Helium) pycnometer containing only the most necessary hardware to carry out determination of volume (density) measurements of solid state samples up to 100 mL in standard version.

• Using appropriate valves and pressure transducers, the pressure range for experimentation can be from above atmospheric up to 3400 kPa (500 psi). 
• The large range of pressures allows study of sample compressibility.
• Permeability of the carrier gas through various barriers (e.g. membranes, geological cores) can be accomplished by attaching  (optional) auxiliary hardware. 
• ​Although the price can depend on the cost of specific components, the goal was to create the lowest cost versatile auto pycnometer.
